Summary

The decree concerns the investigation of the criminal proceedings and abuses related to the director of the Juvenile Correctional Institution on Szőlő Street in Budapest, in the interest of the protection of children. The minister responsible for justice is granted comprehensive investigative authority, which extends to all case files, data, and the right of on-site entry, as well as to the public disclosure of the results of the investigation. The decree enters into force on the basis of the legislative competence under a state of emergency, with the derogatory application of the Act on criminal procedure.
