Summary

The decree concerns the introduction of mirror measures that enable Hungary to block, in reciprocation, the electronic data of a third country, in the event that the given state obstructs the accessibility of Hungarian online content for political reasons. The immediate antecedent of the measure is that Ukraine blocked Hungarian websites; therefore, the minister responsible for foreign policy may, on the basis of a notification from the National Information Centre, submit a proposal to the Government for rendering inaccessible the data belonging to the domain system concerned. The regulation establishes provisions derogating from Act CLXXXV of 2010 on media services, and is applicable for the duration of the existing state of danger.
