III. Government Decrees

Government Decree No. 300/2025. (X. 6.) on the tasks of the Hungarian Defence Export Agency Private Limited Company

[1] In recent years, Hungary's strategic and security environment has changed significantly. The marked changes in the international situation — in particular armed conflicts and their economic and social consequences — necessitate the sustainable development of the space and defence industry. In order to fulfil alliance obligations, it is necessary that the sale of space and defence industry products, technologies and services on foreign markets, and the support of companies' activities on foreign markets, take place within an orderly, transparent framework that complies with international norms. To this end, it is essential that the Hungarian Defence Export Agency, as a professional background institution of the government, carries out its tasks in a unified system, with due regard to national economic interests, the State's security policy, and international arms control and export control regimes.

[2] The purpose of this Decree is to uniformly establish, alongside the public duties relating to the development of the domestic defence industry, the public duties assumed in the development of the space industry, thereby exploiting the synergies between the two industries, promoting the competitiveness of industry players, and expanding companies' presence on international markets and their participation in development programmes.…
