Summary
The Magyar Nemzeti Bank shall issue a silver commemorative coin with a face value of 20,000 forints and a fineness of 925 thousandths on 14 October 2025, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the education of the blind in Hungary. The obverse of the coin depicts a blind girl reading and the stained-glass window of the School for the Blind, while the reverse features the façade of the building and inscriptions rendered in Braille. The purpose of the issuance is to convey historical and cultural values and to commemorate the anniversary of the institution founded in 1825.
