Summary

The government decree aims to improve the conditions of care for children and young adults living in child protection care, for which it provides a total of over 17 billion forints in funding. Within the framework of the measures, from 1 November 2025, the minimum amounts of catering, clothing and pocket money provided in children's homes will be increased, and from 1 January 2026, as a new element, an annual sports support of at least 50,000 forints will be introduced. The task of the Minister of the Interior is to prepare the necessary legal regulation and to make proposals for the purposes of utilising the remaining funds.
