Summary
Government Decree No. 376/2025. (XII. 1.) contains an amendment to Government Decree No. 619/2021. (XI. 8.) on the designation of rust belt action areas, the purpose of which is to promote the development of neglected, environmentally contaminated areas. The amendment exempts the affected properties in respect of a specific investment bearing serial number 34 from prohibitions on plot formation, construction and alteration, and also permits an exception to the rule on mandatory plot boundary formation along the boundary of a building zone. The new provisions shall also be applied in administrative authority proceedings pending at the time of entry into force.

Government Decree No. 376/2025. (XII. 1.) Korm.
on the amendment of Government Decree No. 619/2021. (XI. 8.) Korm. on the designation of brownfield action areas and the specific requirements applicable to investments implemented in certain action areas
[1] The Government's objective is to create a healthy, clean and pollution-free residential and working environment through the development of areas typically characterised by neglect, underutilisation and environmental contamination, and therefore it is justified to designate the relevant developments as brownfield action areas.
[2] The Government, acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 225(1) point 74, and Section 225(2) points d) and f) of Act C of 2023 on Hungarian Architecture, and acting within the scope of its duties as defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby orders the following:…
