Summary

Decree 2/2025 (III. 14.) IM increases the amounts of monetary awards associated with professional distinctions that may be conferred by the Minister of Justice, which are granted to persons performing outstanding work in the fields of justice and victim support. The amounts of the awards concerned typically increase to two to three times their previous level, for example in the case of certain prizes rising from HUF 1,000,000 to HUF 3,000,000 and from HUF 500,000 to HUF 1,500,000 respectively. The reason for the amendment is that the financial value of the distinctions has remained unchanged for many years, and the increase is therefore intended to restore a level commensurate with the merits performed.
