Summary
The decree contains an amendment to the earlier government decree defining the tasks of MDDÜ Magyar Divat & Design Ügynökség Nonprofit Zrt. (Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency Nonprofit Ltd.), within the framework of which the name of the Hungarian Design Council changes to the Hungarian Creative Industries Council. Simultaneously with the renaming, the body's scope of duties is also expanded, extending to the dissemination of creative industry knowledge, the development of industrial property protection and copyright knowledge, as well as the establishment of a system for awarding professional prizes. The purpose of the amendment is the development of domestic creative industry sectors and the strengthening of the competitiveness of the Hungarian national economy.

Government Decree No. 122/2025. (V. 30.) of the Government
on the amendment of Government Decree No. 157/2024. (VI. 28.) on the designation of certain tasks of MDDÜ Magyar Divat & Design Ügynökség Nonprofit Closed Joint-Stock Company related to the fashion and creative industries
[1] The Government's objective is the development of domestic creative industry sectors and the strengthening of the competitiveness of the Hungarian national economy through creative industry innovations, thus making it necessary to expand the name and scope of activities of the Hungarian Design Council.
[2] The Government, acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 43(1)(f) of Act LXXVI of 2014 on scientific research, development and innovation, acting within the scope of duties defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby orders the following:
1.§ Point o) of Section 3 of Government Decree No. 157/2024.
