Summary

Government Decree No. 127/2025. (VI. 5.) of the Government

on the amendment of Government Decree No. 410/2012. (XII. 28.) on certain rules for the implementation of Act CCXVII of 2012 on participation in the Community trading system for greenhouse gases and the implementation of the effort-sharing decision

[1] The National Assembly adopted the Act on Climate Gases at the end of 2024. The purpose of the amendment is, on the one hand, to create consistency between the provisions at the level of government decree and Act CCXVII of 2012 on participation in the Community trading system for greenhouse gases and the implementation of the effort-sharing decision, as amended by the Act on Climate Gases, and, on the other hand, to address legal application problems that have arisen in the course of proceedings of the National Climate Protection Authority.

[2] The Government, acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in points 1–5, 7, 9–18, 31 and 32 of Section 39(1) of Act CCXVII of 2012 on participation in the Community trading system for greenhouse gases and the implementation of the effort-sharing decision, acting within the scope of its duties as defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby orders the following:…
