Summary

The President of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank regulates by decree the issuance of a silver commemorative coin denominated at 20,000 forints bearing the designation "János Apáczai Csere", which is to take place on 10 June 2025 on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the birth of János Apáczai Csere. The commemorative coin is made of 925 per mille silver and contains, on both its obverse and its reverse, depictions and inscriptions referring to the work and person of the 17th-century Hungarian scholar and encyclopaedist. The decree was issued within the currency issuance competence of the MNB, on the basis of the authorisation provided by Act CXXXIX of 2013 on the Magyar Nemzeti Bank.
