Summary
Act XLVIII of 2025 concerns the protection of local identity and places the right of local communities to identity on a constitutional basis in accordance with the fifteenth amendment to the Fundamental Law. The legislation endows local governments with new legal instruments in order to enable them to regulate excessive settlement and mass real property acquisition, thereby preserving the traditions, social order and values of settlements. The purpose of the regulation is to create a balance between individual rights and local community interests, ensuring the possibility of organic development for future generations.
