Summary
Act LIX of 2025 establishes a unified, modern registration system for legal persons, replacing the currently fragmented court, authority, chamber, and other registries. The purpose of the regulation is to ensure that a publicly authentic, transparent, and electronically accessible database is available for all legal persons established under Hungarian law, in accordance with Union requirements and the provisions of the Civil Code. The Act implements a long-awaited private law reform, in particular through the consolidation of the civil society and company registries, as well as through the handling of applications within a unified procedural framework.
