Summary
Government Decree No. 168/2025. (VI. 26.) contains amendments to several government decrees related to road transport, primarily in the areas of technical inspection of vehicles and the registration (honosítás) procedure. The amendments enable registration procedures to be carried out also by testing stations authorised by the transport authority, and determine the amount of fines imposable in the event of infringement of the relevant rules. In addition, the decree introduces a facilitation in the field of training of road transport professionals, as practical driving training may be continued even in the absence of a school director entered in the register of school directors.

Government Decree No. 168/2025. (VI. 26.) on the amendment of certain government decrees relating to road vehicles and road transport professionals
[1] The purpose of this decree is to make the technical inspection and registration (honosítási) procedure of vehicles more efficient; to this end, it enables the registration procedure of vehicles to also be carried out by inspection stations authorised by the transport authority.

acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 48(3) point a) subpoint 15 of Act I of 1988 on Road Traffic, with regard to Subtitle 2 acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 48(3) point a) subpoint 8 of Act I of 1988 on Road Traffic,
with regard to Subtitle 3 and Annex 2 acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 48(3) point a) subpoint 24 of Act I of 1988 on Road Traffic,
with regard to Subtitle 4 acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 48(3) point a) subpoint 19 of Act I of 1988 on Road Traffic,
acting within the scope of duties defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby orders the following:
