Summary
Government Decree No. 203/2025. (VII. 17.) amends the domestic government decrees related to the extended producer responsibility system in response to changes in EU regulation, with particular regard to the provisions concerning batteries, accumulators, and waste electrical and electronic equipment. III. Government Decrees
Government Decree No. 203/2025. (VII. 17.) on the amendment of certain government decrees related to the extended producer responsibility system
[1] The European Parliament and the Council adopted new regulatory legislation on batteries and accumulators, and amended the directive regulation on waste electrical and electronic equipment.
[2] The purpose of this decree is to ensure the enforceability and transposition of the waste management provisions contained in the new European Union legislation in the interest of protecting our environment.
[3] The Government
pursuant to point 4 of Section 88(1) of Act CLXXXV of 2012 on waste,
with regard to Subtitle 2, pursuant to points 5, 10 and 13 of Section 88(1) of Act CLXXXV of 2012 on waste, point h) of Section 55(1) of Act CLV of 1997 on consumer protection, and point 4 of Section 110(7) of Act LIII of 1995 on the general rules of environmental protection,
with regard to Subtitle 3, pursuant to points 5 and 12 of Section 88(1) of Act CLXXXV of 2012 on waste,
