Summary
Government Decree No. 218/2025. (VII. 24.) establishes specific building regulations required for the development of the Northwest Hungarian General Olympic Centre (Tata Training Camp), fixing the maximum building coverage ratio (18%) and the upper limit of building height (17.50 metres). The amendment simultaneously excludes the possibility of establishing new local protection on the affected property, and the regulations must also be applied in pending administrative proceedings. The purpose of the provisions is to facilitate the earliest possible commencement of the investment in order to improve the preparation conditions of Hungarian elite athletes.

Government Decree No. 218/2025. (VII. 24.) of the Government
on the amendment of Government Decree No. 83/2021. (II. 23.) on the declaration of certain administrative authority cases related to investments as cases of outstanding importance from a national economic perspective, and on the amendment of certain government decrees related to investments of outstanding importance from a national economic perspective, for the purpose of declaring the development of the Northwest Hungarian General Olympic Centre as a priority investment
[1] The Government's objective is to commence as soon as possible the comprehensive development of the Northwest Hungarian General Olympic Centre, i.e. the Tata Training Camp, and to modernise its existing facilities in order to promote the successful preparation of Hungarian elite athletes. In accordance with this objective, the amendment of the government decree establishes specific building regulations and individual construction requirements in connection with the affected property.
[2] The Government, acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in points a)–d) of Section 225(2) of Act C of 2023 on Hungarian Architecture, and acting within the scope of duties defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby orders the following:…
