Summary
The strategic cooperation agreement signed between the Government of Hungary and the Government of North Macedonia on 13 June 2025 in Skopje is incorporated into Hungarian domestic law by this Government Decree. The agreement establishes a legal framework for bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of economics, infrastructure, energy, information technology, defence, and cybersecurity. The Minister responsible for foreign economic affairs shall ensure the execution of the Decree, and the substantive provisions of the agreement shall enter into force upon the fulfilment of the agreement's own condition for entry into force.

III. Government Decrees
Government Decree No. 244/2025. (VIII. 5.) of the Government on the promulgation of the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the Government of Hungary and the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia
[1] The legislator's aim is to incorporate into domestic law the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the Government of Hungary and the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, signed on 13 June 2025 in Skopje. The Agreement focuses primarily on economic, infrastructural, energy, information technology, defence and cybersecurity cooperation, and provides a legal framework for the identification and implementation of Hungarian-Macedonian joint projects, thereby creating an opportunity for Hungarian medium-sized and large enterprises to enter the continuously expanding and rapidly growing Macedonian economy.
Section 1. The Government hereby authorises, by means of this Decree, the recognition of the binding force of the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between the Government of Hungary and the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia (hereinafter: the Agreement).
Section 2. The Government hereby promulgates the Agreement by means of this Decree.
Section 3. (1) The authentic Hungarian-language text of the Agreement is contained in Annex 1.
(2) The authentic English-language text of the Agreement is contained in Annex 2.
Section 4. (1) This Decree shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation, with the exception provided for in paragraph (2).…
