III. I. Government Decrees
Government Decree No. 255/2025. (VIII. 11.) on the amendment of certain government decrees relating to the conditions of passenger transport
[1] The Government's objective is to provide a higher standard of service to the travelling public of public transport through the integration of passenger transport services, the tariff reform and the introduction of unified ticket sales.
[2] The purpose of this Government Decree is to reduce administrative burdens in line with the simplification of door-to-door travel, as well as to clarify and simplify the application of law. To this end, it is necessary to review the government decrees regulating the conditions for the use of rail, other fixed-track and bus public services.
[3] The amendment of the government decrees on the conditions of passenger transport, based on practical experience in the application of law, ensures uniform application of law, reduces administrative burdens, and creates a unified, clear and unambiguously followable legislative environment.
[4] The amendments unify the concepts, the procedural rules for amending the business regulations, and the publication of tariffs, harmonise the rules relating to tickets, and furthermore simplify the rules in line with the tariff reform.…
