Summary

III. Government Decrees

Government Decree No. 271/2025. (VIII. 18.) on the amendment of Government Decree No. 314/2005. (XII. 25.) on the procedure for environmental impact assessment and integrated environmental use permitting

[1] The Government is committed to the examination of the environmental impacts of activities that burden or utilise the environment, and to requiring environmentally responsible conduct that takes into account the results of such examination.

[2] The Government, acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in points 3 and 18 of Section 110(7) of Act LIII of 1995 on the General Rules for the Protection of the Environment, and acting within the scope of duties defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby orders the following:

Section 1. Government Decree No. 314/2005. (XII. 25.) on the procedure for environmental impact assessment and integrated environmental use permitting [hereinafter: Government Decree No. 314/2005. (XII. 25.)] shall be supplemented with the following Section 10/A:

"10/A. § In the course of proceedings aimed at the amendment of an environmental permit, where justified by the nature of the planned modification or by the complexity, location, capacity of the activity or the number of persons concerned, the environmental authority may hold a public hearing in accordance with the provisions set out in Section 9."…
