Summary
The decree amends Government Decree No. 619/2021. (XI. 8.) on the designation of rust belt action areas, within the framework of which it declares the neglected industrial-commercial property with lot number 3806 in District XI of Budapest an immediate rust belt action area. The purpose of the designation is to establish a residential area supplemented with service functions in the territory, in order to create a healthy living and working environment free from environmental pollution. The amendment furthermore clarifies one of the earlier property designations contained in Annex 1, and provides for applicability in pending administrative proceedings.

III. Government Decrees
Government Decree No. 16/2026. (II. 5.) on the amendment of Government Decree No. 619/2021. (XI. 8.) on the designation of brownfield action areas and the specific requirements applicable to investments implemented in certain action areas
[1] The Government's objective is to create a healthy, clean and pollution-free residential and working environment through the development of areas that are typically neglected, underutilised and burdened by environmental pollution, and therefore it is justified to designate the relevant developments as brownfield action areas.
[2] The Government, acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in point 74 of Section 225(1) of Act C of 2023 on Hungarian Architecture, and acting within the scope of duties defined in Article 15(1) of the Fundamental Law, hereby decrees the following:…
