Summary
The President of the Hungarian National Bank fixes by decree the rate of the central bank base rate, which is determined at 6.25 percent with effect from 25 February 2026. The new decree simultaneously repeals the previous base rate decree issued in September 2024. The gazette furthermore contains numerous parliamentary resolutions providing for the acceptance of reports on the 2024 activities of various state bodies — including the Hungarian National Bank, the Kúria, the State Audit Office, the prosecution service, and the National Office for the Judiciary.
