Summary

The decree orders coordinated protective activity across the entire territory of Hungary for the purpose of enhanced protection of the energy network and energy facilities, in response to the energy security threat arising from the closure of the Friendship crude oil pipeline in Ukraine. The activities of the defence and security organisations, as well as the administrative authorities, shall be coordinated by the Minister of Defence with the assistance of a coordination body established for this purpose, comprising several ministers and the national security adviser to the Prime Minister. The Hungarian Defence Forces shall carry out the guarding and protection tasks of the designated energy facilities and network elements.
