Summary
The decree of the Minister of Interior contains the amendment of the 2011 BM decree on fire protection expert activities, the purpose of which is to establish coherence between construction law and fire protection regulation. It enables architect fire protection experts to count fire protection further training organised by the professional chamber towards the mandatory fire protection expert further training up to a maximum of 5 hours, and prescribes the obligation to certify the existence of liability insurance when registering for the repeat examination. The registration number of the liability insurance policy of the architect fire protection expert must henceforth also be recorded in the expert register.

Decree No. 11/2026. (III. 31.) BM of the Minister of the Interior on the amendment of Decree No. 47/2011. (XII. 15.) BM on the rules governing fire protection expert activities
[1] The purpose of the amendment is to establish consistency between building regulations and fire protection regulations, and to ensure the provision of fire protection expert activities at a high standard.
[2] Acting on the basis of the authorisation granted in Section 47(2), point 2 of Act XXXI of 1996 on protection against fire, technical rescue operations and fire brigades, and acting within the scope of duties defined in Section 66(1), point 7 of Government Decree No. 182/2022. (V. 24.) on the tasks and powers of the members of the Government, I hereby order the following:
Section 1. (1) Section 5 of Decree No. 47/2011. (XII. 15.) BM on the rules governing fire protection expert activities is hereby supplemented with the following Subsection (1a):…
