Summary
The decree of the Minister of the Interior amends the regulation of social insurance support for certain medicinal products, primarily by supplementing Government Decree No. 9/1993 of the NM on the financing of specialist health care. The amendment defines the procedural rules for the admission of active substances subject to new itemised accounting, including the publication by the NEAK of the list of institutions entitled to accounting and the fifteen-day deadline for ministerial approval. The application of the new provisions is conditional upon the successful conclusion of the public procurement procedure for the active substances concerned, but shall become mandatory no later than on the first day of the fourth month following the entry into force of the amendment.

Decree No. 12/2026. (IV. 17.) BM of the Minister of the Interior on the social insurance support of certain medicinal products
[1] The fundamental objective of health policy is to make the most modern and most effective therapeutic options available to all citizens. The inclusion of new medicinal products reduces disparities in care, ensures financial accessibility of treatments, and strengthens public confidence in the healthcare system.
[2] In order to achieve the stated objective, new, state-of-the-art medicinal products will become available through the amendment of the necessary ministerial decrees.
