Summary
The decree, in accordance with Act XIII of 2026, defines the tasks and competences of the members of the Government, that is, of the individual ministers, in the ministerial sectors directed by them. The regulation, on the basis of the original legislative authorisation of the Fundamental Law and relying on the provisions of numerous sectoral Acts, lays down the organisational order of governmental administration. The decree is comprehensive in nature, as it covers numerous administrative fields ranging from personal registration through road transport, forensic expert activities and accounting to many other areas of administration.

Government Decree No. 90/2026. (V. 13.) of the Government on the tasks and powers of the members of the Government
[1] Act XIII of 2026 on the enumeration of the ministries of Hungary establishes the sectors of public administration to be directed by the respective ministers, and creates the ministries responsible for carrying out the tasks related thereto, taking into account the values and duties that fundamentally determine the order and functioning of society and the economy, and thereby the organisational structure of the Government's operation. In accordance with the statutory provisions, the Government defines the tasks and powers of the ministers heading the respective ministries.
